It has been quite a while i haven't been uploading anything to DA due to the madness of workload in the office and worse of all preparing some artwork for the up coming comic fiesta's artbook, as well as do as much as i can for the animation project. busy! busy! busy! is all i can say.

was actually here is Malaysia now and bumping over at my place for the weekend, so i'm doing my best to kill him with kindness in anyway i can think off and most of all i presented him with a suprise gift art that blows him away, in return he gave me two big spanish bull hug, i have did suprise gift art for people but skifi was the first person whom i gave it in person and seeing his excitment and joy brings encouragement to me that people does appreciate my hard work, in a way which made it all worth it, giving my best for the gift art is all that i can give to him. And i also did a good job hidding this suprise gift from him all this while, and he falls for it, i'm such a sneaky bastard when it comes to suprise gifts.

Skifi on the other hand besides recovering from his gft art shock, was also enjoying his trip in malaysia as i bring him around shopping for computer softwares and goods, he especially enjoying the veriaty of malaysian's food, and it was fun getting away from my office for moment to clear my head before i head back to my battle field.

Oh, we both love adidas clothing on our favourite sport, and yeah! that's my real mountain bike.

now to plot more kindness to kill him

Your level of detail really does amaze me. I hope that one day I may match even just half your artistic expertise.

Kwah! I've lived the hermit life for too long!!

I say, the title fits the art very well. Impossible is nothing!

Euh. I can't express my astonishment at this like Kokiteno do, but man, it totally blow me away. The soft fur and details are incredible!

While rarely posting, your work always shows high quality, Leo. :D

102 comments and well over a thousand views. Is there really anything left to say? ;)

It's a beautiful piece, Alphaleo, and I can see you put a lot into it. I'm happy to hear skifi liked it, and even more happy that you see how much your work is appreciated.
Anyhow, let's go into the pic. I don't think I have ever seen this ammount of realism in a furry picture. I am blown away at the sheer ammount of detail, all the textures and contours. One can't look at this pic and not feel a deep sense of wonder. Before I start with the characters, I think I must first point out the amazement over the details of the bike and ball. "Wow" scarcely describes the wonder. They both look so lifelike, so real and three-dimensional. The difference between the metal in the bike and the plasticine ball are as noticeable as they would if you have shown me two pictures.
Moving on to Alphaleo and Skifi. It's amazing how you managed to blend realism and a more toony style together so perfectly, while always maintaining your own distinct way of drawing. Everything here is "Alphaleo Grade" art. I absolutely LOVE the eyes! I feel so moved by them, the are so full of life and emotion. It's the most real thing about them, and one of your greatest achievements in this picture: the way you captured not only the forms of Alphaleo and Skifi, but also their essence, their spirit.
The fur is gorgeous! I don't even know what else to say about them! I'm literally left speechless at the level of talent. I love the fact that the fur here does not hide the musculature, but instead you made it curve and flow so as to accentuate them. It's a beautiful way of keeping the fluffiness while showing off the anatomy.
Also very nice poses. Even though it's a very austere, almost professional pose (let's face it, you two look like real Adidas models), the camaraderie is palpable. It's hard to explain, but very apparent to me. There's friendship and closeness very intimately described in the most subtle of expressions.
And what awesome clothing, too. Love each and every fold, the textures and the colours. Like everything about this, the ammount of detail is overwhelming.

I do wish to point something out, though. I really can't consider it constructive criticism as it is really not something concrete, but rather a suggestion on style. You see, if you look at Alphaleo's mouth, you notice that the fur is rather long in the muzzle, too, breaking off into the smile without almost any trace of lip. This hairiness on the mouth breaks a bit of the realism, and at least in my mind, it makes him look a bit like a muppet.
May I suggest shortening the fur on the muzzle even more? I mean, I'm not an expert on big cats, but I do seem to remember very shor hair on the muzzle, especially on the top part.
Anyhow, it's just a suggestion.

Wonderful piece, Leo. Thanks for taking the time off your busy schedule to show this to us all.

thanks for the constructive comment again, it was always nice to read your comment, not just with wow! awesome! but with some input for improvement and that's what i call constructive comment that allows to to improve, thank u for that.

well, like i said skifi was reallp happy and shock when i gave him a printed copy of this gift art and we both have a lot of fun on weekend sharing our friendship and knowlege and i'm surre glad he enjoyed it. sadly it's only 3 days.

well as for the art, i do have to confess that the ball was actually a picture i downloaded from the net and so happens to fit perfectly well with the art, and i was also experinmenting the technic refining the pixelated ball to make it look belivabley painted,(skifi knows about this), i spend an hour using photoshop smudge tool smudging the ball to perfection and in the end of the day i learn a new technic eventhough not much of honor doing it. as for the bike it was really is my real bike, i snap shot a picture of it and paste it in the drawing and unlike the ball, i fully repaint the whole bike over the photo layer, learing something call photocopy painting and it turn out well especially the color looks brighter and blends well with the characters, and not forgeting all the tiny details on the bike logo and stuff. but i have to say i was very tight when i was working on the gift art and i have to find faster way of working things out and cheat a little, but of caurse i have toi cheat with style. the whole art took me 2 weeks to get it done before skifi arrives the next week so it was a very rush work.
