Me and my GT Zaskar MK-2

Description

I finally retired my old faithful GT Zaskar Team alphaleo14.deviantart.com/art/… after 14 years of good time. As for my new ride, a newer GT Zaskar team constructed from Carbon fiber, which is 400 grams lighter than my previous aluminium ver. I got the frame from ebay for a reasonable price in 2013, but only in late 2014 to 2015 I started collecting parts from various online vendors. The complete bike rolled out from the bike shop 4 days before Christmas.

The bike is diffidently lighter compare to it's previous incarnation but still not light enough for me,  I blame the weight on the old wheels and the heavier Fox F-series fork, for now it's around 22 pounds now which did not meet my 20 pounds targeted weight. Asides from the Weight issue, the bike was a great ride, and a great climber, thanks to slick Shimano XTR 980 3x10 components, Simpler Mechanical Avid BB-7 disc brakes, carbon fiber truvativ seatpost and handlebar and lastly my favorite iconic Onza Bar ends, I still salvage back some old parts like the saddle, grip, brake lever, cycling computer and the wheel set, those components still have plenty of millage to go.

Another thing that I just found out, I haven't been doing any art nor and painting since my Balto fan art.
