This is one disasterous art work that i ever work on, and it kinda dimotivated me so much that i felt so depressed with the final outcome.

Things went well in the beginning, only during the coloring process things started to screw up one after another, first i messed up with the all the color keys until i have to rework on it to get it right (a few times) then i was overly ambitious until i overloaded myself it ended up with with no proper directions and more thing got messed up along the way, poor finishing, unbalanced colors and the final outcome was disapointing, The final screwed up is when i accidently overide the original PSD file flattenning the entire artwork with no way i can salvage back the raw file. That Sux!

i'm so depressed with this whole work that i don't even wanna look back into it, i'm gonna do some other things away from painting to clear off my dissapointment, it's a good thing i just bought a new MG Gundam strike noir to keep me happy for this weekend

The cockpits and control panels of Mobile Suits were always important to me, but are rarely showed to any degree. I like seeing a fan's take on the cockpit. Nice work!

now i wouldn't be so hard on yourself. i understand the need to replicate to the exact speck of the image in your mind but this turned out very well. i cannot draw nearly as well as you do in any stretch of the imagination but when I'm not feeling good about a work of art i look through the deviant gallery for similar works that scream suckish. :D you don't need to bash those artists or even acknowledge you've seen their work but it helps sometimes ;D

Like I know you are a tiny art god, and this may not be up to your original Empyreal quality, but this is still a great piece of artwork.

It is... a absurd amount of detail and art work that looks very daunting to me and I would probably never be able to add that much detail without breaking at some point myself.

You are still the man though, Still a breath taking job on this though

Dude, don't be so hard on yourself. This pic is excellent! :D I'd love to have your talent!

I am not sure what you dislike about this drawing. Yes, there are a very few places that seem to need a little bit more shading that I found under close scrutiny, but are nothing major. The only thing that comes to mind is the exterior as it is a bit washed out in comparison to the wrest of the drawing. However, I don't see that as being that big of a deal since I feel that the focus of the drawing is inside the cockpit. Speaking of, your attention to detail is quite amazing. I think that you managed to capture the cockpit to a degree not even present in most gundam anime. The last notable thing about your drawing is your brilliant use of perspective that really enhances the quality of the image and the experience of the viewer. As for a suggestion to further improve your wok, consider that MS have their cameras mounted in their head, and thus the view from inside the cockpit is at the level of the head. It doesn't seem to be quite this high in this image. If I had to give your drawing a rating it would be 9/10 for a few minor lighting errors. Don't let your problems with this image discourage you from creating more brilliant works such as this one! A curse upon DA for not allowing me to post this as a critique since I am not a paying user!

this is fucking awsome, you did the cockpit view and the angle very very well. nothing to be unhappy about! Do more! we need more quality mech/furry stuff going on, maybe like a entire regiment of them :D much good here, sucks about the lost of a file however but yes this is a good thing, well enough to be stuck into a canon manual.

Screwed up? You must be kidding, It looks fantastic! Its alot better than what I would have done. I love the amount of detail in the cockpit. The point of view gives it a High adrenilen feeling. Don't get bogged down by something like that. Take a break from it and work on it later when you feel better.
gunslinger87 Featured By Owner Sep 2, 2007
You screwed up? It looks fantastic! I love the cockpit detail, its better that any of that I've made before. But I can understand how you feel though. I've had similar situations my self. Keep up the good work!

You should not be depressed of this image, doesn't matter if there went something wrong while the completing of this image, it looks so damned awesome!! It is a more than beautiful image, and I am pretty happy to have been lead to this image to see!
Spetsnaz-Invidika Featured By Owner Jul 4, 2007
Heh, even though being dissatisfied with your work is probably the best way to improve, try not to be too hard on yourself... This is pretty damn good. Plus, it is either Battletech or Gundam, so that's pretty awesome as it is.

I'm unsure if it's intentional or not, but I like the way everything is slightly 'blurred' outside the windows - good glass effect. :)
